Blackjack Advice: Ways to Win More Often
Each day, new land-based casinos are popping up across the United States and Canada. Most of these gambling casinos fall under the umbrella of the 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act in which indian tribes are granted permission to operate casinos on Native American land. Others, such as the pari-mutuels, are given grants from local State governments to function in order to provide jobs and entertainment outlets for local areas. Most of these new casinos are automatically given permission to allow casino slots and poker, but if you ask anyone in management at these facilities, you will find that Level II table games are the ultimate goal. The reason: simple... Over the years, land-based casinos have determined that high-stakes games such as blackjack attract larger crowds of beginners, ultimately leading to higher profits.
The point of this article is not to delve into the basic rules of blackjack or harp on the history of the game. We wanna bring beginning players into the advanced tips, stategy, and advice for playing blackjack.
We want players to walk into the casino more educated and ready for a chance to win. Once you are finished reading this article, start practicing your skills in our free blackjack advice for beginners section.
On the other hand, if you talk to any serious gambler, he or she will tell you that Blackjack is the most popular game in any land-based casino. Blackjack offers players the best chances of winning consistently over the long haul. If you take a look inside the statistics of the game, Blackjack offers the lowest house advantage of any casino game that we know of (somewhere around .45%). What that really means is, if you play basic blackjack strategy over and over, the casino should only be able to take about .45% of your money. Those are great odds when u consider how bad most players are raped at the slot machines or roulette tables. If you play intelligently, it will cost you about 45 cents per $100 at the blackjack tables.
Now, we all know that blackjack is played with a standard 52-deck. There can be up to 8 decks in play at once (the operations department of the casino determines this number). Remember, the fewer decks in play, the better. The less decks in play, the easier it is for you to count cards and make predictions.
For the beginners out there, if you wanna stay consistent, and ultimately beat the casinos (the guys who are out to take your money), follow the basic blackjack strategy below. If you have any question please feel free to contact us and we'll direct you to some of the best blackjack players around.
1. If you're dealt a 5, hit no matter what the up card.
2. If you are given a 6, hit no matter what.
3. If you receive a 7, hit no matter what.
4. If you get an 8, once again, hit no matter what.
5. If you are dealt a 9, double-down against an up card of 3-6. Hit against everything, but don't double down!
6. If you are dealt a 10, double down (only on first two cards) against any card 2-9. Be sure to hit against a 10 or an ace.
7. If you receive an 11, double down (one on first 2 cards), against an up card of 2 thru 10. Always hit against an ace.
8. If you are dealt 12. Hit against a two or three (this may sound odd, but the statistics work in your favor). Stand against 4-6, hit against 7 through ace.
9. If you have 13, be sure to stand against 2-6 and always hit against 7 thru ace.
10. When you are sitting 14, once again, stand against 2-6, hit 7-ace (same as 13). The same strategy applies for 15 and 16. The only difference is you may want to surrender is certain cases.
11. If you have 17-21, stand against everything!
